Jenny welcomes specialist sports retailer to Wigan
Jenny Meadows has today welcomed the arrival of running and fitness specialist retailer ‘realbuzz’ to Wigan.
realbuzz Wigan opens in the Makinson Arcade on Friday and will offer running and fitness enthusiasts of all abilities a wide range of products from all major brands.
The Team GB Olympian is thrilled her town will now boast a store offering premium branded running shoes as well as clothing and fitness accessories.
“I’m passionate about Wigan and I’m passionate about running – and this is something we have needed for a long time,” said Jenny.
“This is really exciting news for us. There is such a love for running in Wigan and it’s been a shame that for so long people have had to travel out of the area to get the specialist kit they need. That’s not the case now, which is great.
“I’ve spoken with the realbuzz team – they have very impressive plans and are clearly determined to make a positive contribution to running and fitness in our town.
“I wish realbuzz every success in Wigan and I’m sure we will all make them feel very welcome.”
realbuzz Wigan will be the second store opened by the Chester-based company, with plans for more to follow across the North West before the end of the year.

realbuzz Wigan opens at 9am on Friday May 26. Jenny Meadows will be in the store from midday on Saturday May 27.
