Cawley Jewellers celebrates 30 sparkling years of business in Wigan

There are smiles all around at The Galleries Shopping Centre this week, as Cawley Jewellers celebrates its 30th anniversary, as a part of the community and our centre.

The jewellers, which has been at the heart of the Wigan community since it opened its doors in1986, offers a wide range of fabulous pre-owned and new jewellery.

Owner Colin Cawley has been a familiar face around the town for many years and set up the shop after completing his training at Baker Jewel Casket in Market Place, Wigan. The shop, originally named Linaker & Cawley, opened for business with Colin and his two business partners John and Alison Linaker.

The partnership lasted 20 years until Colin purchased Alison’s share of the business and moved the store to the Galleries Shopping Centre under the new name of Cawley Jewellers in 2007.
